White Pine announces All-League award winners

The Genesee Bulldogs collected individual hardware from the White Pine League this week, receiving the league's Coach of the Year (Tim Sperber), Defensive Player of the Year (Cole Allen) and Player of the Year (Edward Becker).

Lapwai junior Kendall Leighton was named the league's Offensive Player of the Year and Wallace senior Layton Gallagher was selected as the WPL Special Teams Player of the Year, based on voting by the league's coaches.

1A Division 1 state champion Prairie had eleven players named on the list, which included a first team, a second team, and honorable mention. Genesee had five players who were honored for both offense and defense, with fifteen total players appearing on the list, tops in the league. Lapwai had twelve.
